The Convention will kick off with a keynote presentation by Prof Hasan Mandal, President of  TÜBİTAK, the Scientific and Technological Research Institution of Turkey, whose goal is to develop science, technology and innovation policies, support and conduct research and development, and play a leading role in the creation of a science and technology culture in the country.

James Foden, Section Manager, Technology Innovation Management and Heidi Dyson, Group Manager, Public Funding Management, both of TWI, will follow with an overview of the new TWIIN training courses and the deep knowledge that can be attained from attending them.  Omer Beysel, Assistant General Manager, Floteks Automotive will give an insight into ways of achieving international success with European projects, and Abbas Mohimi, Head of Public Funding and Regional Engagement at TWI, will explain the latest opportunities in Singapore.  The remainder of the Convention programme will be dedicated to partner matching and brokerage, with all the background you need to know if you are new to this activity, and accompanying technology pitches by selected Innovation Centres and TWIIN Subscriber companies on projects you could get involved with.

This year, you are also invited to attend the NSIRC Research and Innovation Conference 2022, on Thursday 21 July, the day before the TWIIN Convention 2022 and also being held at TWI Cambridge.  The Conference will feature presentations by a number of students on their PhD research in areas such as non-destructive testing, composites, additive manufacturing and fatigue integrity management.  Running alongside these will be sessions on TWI’s Core Research Programme (CRP), giving you a flavour of some of the recent CRP projects, all of which have been selected to address particular industrial and technological challenges being addressed by TWI and its Industrial Member companies.

During the two days of events, delegates will also have plenty of time for networking and browsing the accompanying exhibition.

The TWIIN Convention 2022 and the NSIRC Research and Innovation Conference 2022 are free-to-attend. However, there is limited availability due to them being in-person, therefore, register now to book your place at the events you would like to attend.

If you are interested in sponsoring this year’s Convention, facilitating exposure to an innovation focused, international audience, please send an email to info@twi-innovation-network.com for information on the packages available.

Dr Cem Selcuk, Head of Business Development for TWIIN said “We are excited to be meeting our partners, Network Subscriber companies and TWI Industrial Member companies in-person this year after two years’ of running online events, and have created a stimulating and engaging day of talks and activities for delegates.”
