Starting with Bristol on Tuesday 20th May, the event will then visit Cambridge (22nd May), Manchester (3rd June) and Scotland (5th June).
“Many developers are adopting Android as an embedded platform, “ said Matt Cook, Business Development Manager at Solid State Supplies. “Android has proven to provide a stable kernel and a huge library of open source code and device drivers. It also has no royalties or license fees and benefits from a global development community. It’s an attractive choice for developers.”
The Device Developers' Conference explores the new technologies and tools that are used in the development of embedded systems and electronics. The aim of the event is to provide a productive forum whereby engineers can meet key industry experts from design tool and hardware vendors, as well as undertaking half-day workshops and presentations that offer new skills and knowledge.
“This presentation will also show embedded systems engineers how the Android operating system compares to embedded Linux systems, other RTOS's and other OS's,” said Matt Cook. “So that delegates will be able to choose whether Android might be the right choice for their future product designs.”
Attendance at the Device Developers' Conference, including the extensive agenda of 40-minute presentations, is free to engineers and project managers working in the technology sector. The half-day workshops are subject to a small charge. For more information, or to reserve your place at one of the events, visit:
