The UK Device Developers' Conference announces 2015 dates

The UK's leading event for engineers and scientists working to develop intelligent systems and devices has announced dates for 2015.

The organisers of the annual UK Device Developers' Conference have announced that the 2015 event will run at Reading, Cambridge, Manchester and Uphall (Scotland) on the 12th and 14th May and the 2nd and 4th June respectively.

As before, this event is to be run in four locations, over four days, to make it more accessible for busy senior developers and technical managers.

"This is a Conference for those who develop electronic systems and intelligent devices," said Richard Blackburn, Conference Manager. “These engineers and software developers are very often working under pressure and to strict deadlines. In respect of this, we are trying once again, to take the event to them, by offering a choice of locations and a choice of dates on which to attend. This approach has helped the Conference grow, with numbers up 20% for our last Conference."

Consisting of a tools and technology vendor exhibition, two streams of hardware and software technical presentations and a series of half-day technical workshops, the UK Device Developers’ Conference has become respected for its high level of technical content; providing developers with an opportunity to learn about new technologies and industry trends.

“This conference is very much about the sharing of ideas, breakthroughs and real-world experiences,” said Richard Blackburn. “Our intention is that delegates walk away from each event feeling that it has not only been a productive use of their time but also that they feel inspired and excited to explore some of the new tools and technologies discussed at the Conference.”

Admittance to the conference is free for developers and technical managers, and includes lunch and refreshments. The Conference is fully funded by industry sponsors. The companies sponsoring the 2015 event include German debug tool company Lauterbach, UK display specialists Intelligent Embedded Solutions (IES), US real-time OS company Lynx Software Technologies and UK single board computer manufacturer Blue Chip Technology.  Over 40 industry vendors are expected to participate in the 2015 event and the organisers are expecting more than 350 senior engineers and project managers to attend, some of which will be from overseas.

“The Conference has been growing year on year,” said Richard Blackburn, “Word has been spreading that the Device Developers’ Conference is a truly worthwhile event, and delegates are also returning with colleagues. We work hard to make it a relaxed and enjoyable experience; I think this is also appreciated by all those that are there on the day.”
