The Cambridge China Centre, founded by Jinzhao Li together with co-founders Zonghui Yang, Jiajin Wang and Weimin Li, will launch on Monday 4 June at an exclusive, invite-only event to be held at St John’s College in Cambridge. The objective of this new and unique membership organisation is to facilitate and nurture mutually prosperous business relationships between China and Cambridge.
These two powerhouses, with enviable reputations in the world of science, technology and education, are the inspiration behind this venture as it sets out to connect entrepreneurs, governments and business associates alike. And, thanks to modern Chinese poetry, Cambridge traditionally holds an important place in the hearts of the Chinese.
Founder, Jinzhao Li, comments “China and Cambridge have held a long standing and special relationship for decades and our mission is to combine all that is special in Cambridge with all that is precious in China. We have a deep and sympathetic understanding of both English and Chinese cultures and see the opportunity to build on the powerful working relationships between the two.”
The team at the Cambridge China Centre are confident that they will provide a highly engaging membership proposition, where knowledge transfer and lucrative relationships are at the core. A powerful networking arena will allow members in both places to connect and discover valuable opportunities whilst building strong, worthwhile relationships.
Dr Wei Sun, Chair of the Advisory Board of Cambridge China Centre, says “By improving cultural understandings, our centre aims to encourage and facilitate collaboration between Cambridge, UK and China. We are underpinned by the support of an impressive advisory board, all with extensive networking experience in both China and the UK.”
Membership to the Cambridge China Centre will provide access to monthly culture events, quarterly networking events, the annual Cambridge China Forum and exciting job opportunities as well as a range of services including translation, interpretation, culture training and digital marketing in China. And with four membership tiers on offer, you can benefit from as little as £300 per year.
