Virtual Jobs Fair helps employers looking to the future

Cambridge Network's popular series of recruitment events continues next month with an online Jobs Fair on 14th May.

"Many Cambridge Network members continue to recruit despite the lockdown and we are helping in every way we can," says Claire Angus, head of the Network's Recruitment Gateway. "There are still hundreds of vacancies listed on our site and we have added a dedicated page for those organisations - mainly in the healthcare and supply chain areas - who are desperate to add to their teams because of the increased demand caused by the pandemic.

"For the virtual jobs fair, we already have AVEVA involved and plan to have another five or six companies on board. "The idea will be to give each company a time slot on Zoom to give an elevator pitch to a virtual 'room' of candidates. We will have pre-selected these candidates so that they match your current vacancies. The event is free of charge. We want to continue to connect companies with candidates even though we can't do so face-to-face at the moment." She adds that local recruitment experts and life coaches will also be on hand during the session to give advice on CVs, interviewing via video and so on.

Employers: If you are looking to recruit now or after the lockdown, please contact Claire.
