The event (17:30 to 18:30) features Nimco Ali, women’s rights activist, campaigner and co-founder of Daughters of Eve, with Leyla Hussein, social activist, campaigner and psychotherapist.
Daughters of Eve recognises female genital mutilation (FGM) as a form of gender-based violence. Daughters of Eve seeks a world where girls are safe and free from all forms of gender-based violence, and where FGM is eradicated within our generation.
In 2014, Ali and Hussein received a community/charity award at the Red Magazine Woman of the Year awards for their work with Daughters of Eve. They also placed sixth in the Woman's Hour Power List 2014.
Nimco and Leyla are in conversation with barrister and human rights activist Charlotte Proudman.
Whose terms is it anyway? will consider terms within the feminist movement and how helpful, or not, they are.
