Withers launches venture capital and tech focused Cambridge office

International law firm Withers has recently celebrated the launch of its Cambridge office with an event at The Tamburlaine Hotel. The office, which is headed by Withers' tech partner Susanna Stanfield, supports entrepreneurs, innovative businesses and academic commercialisation in the Cambridge market.

Withers' Cambridge office has a particular focus on innovation and works closely with forward thinking local entrepreneurs and businesses across various sectors such as technology, life sciences, charities and landed estates alongside Cambridge University and other accelerator programs and funds that support high growth start-ups. In addition, the firm acts for leading HNWS, entrepreneurs and founders which compliments Withers' market leading global private wealth practice. A wide range of these contacts were well represented at the event and generated much discussion and debate about innovation in Cambridge.

Susanna comments: "We are really excited to support innovation in the Cambridge area and to combine our expertise in technology and life sciences with our widely recognised Withers' private wealth offering.  It is absolutely essential for us to have an office here so that we are on the ground and a part of the Cambridge ecosystem.  The office is a natural extension of our Withers tech practice, with a full-time team in Cambridge supporting our client base here and continuing to build longstanding relationships in the market with what we can now offer."

Withers tech works within the larger Withers family to offer a holistic package of advice on day-to-day business activities, and much broader tax and wealth planning, employment, immigration and dispute resolution assistance.
