The UK leg of this year’s Tour De France begins on Saturday 5 July and will see over 150 professional cyclists travelling 549 miles over three days before the Tour crosses the Channel into France. On Monday 7 July the Tour will pass through Cambridge and Workplace Law will mark the occasion with a special celebration.
Workplace Law is aiming to raise over £3,000 by cycling 549 miles in their “Le Ride Week” which is taking place between 5 and 12 July. Each member of staff is pledging to cycle a number of miles ranging from one to 100 in that week, which can be completed while commuting to work, in their own time or on one of the exercise bikes that will be installed in the Cambridge office. The week will close with a team of Workplace Law cyclists travelling to Global Generation in London from the company’s head office in Cambridge.

Global Generation is a charity dedicated to giving young people opportunities to play a part in creating a sustainable future, and was selected by Workplace Law as its chosen charity for 2014. Global Generation offers opportunities for businesses and people of all ages to explore sustainability in a hands-on way, build community and create a new vision for the future.
Jane Riddiford, Executive Director at Global Generation comments: “It is great to be collaborating with a company that is closely aligned with values that are important to Global Generation. The charitable donation will make a significant difference to our work over the coming year and particularly to the lives of 50 young people who will go on a life changing leadership journey. In addition, the spirit in which the money is being raised is inspiring in terms of tangibly demonstrating how each one of us can make a difference.”
