Brand Recruitment is hosting a writing skills course at its Cambridge office on Thursday 17th October from 1pm until 4pm and says: "We are all getting involved in order to improve our knowledge and learn techniques that we might have missed in school. However, we do have some spare spaces which we would like to offer to anyone that is local to the area and may keen to join us. Of course the session will be on us, so if you are interested please feel free to get in touch as soon as possible as we have limited spaces available.
"You can never have too much knowledge when it comes to grammar, punctuation and spelling and we want to ensure that we are not making any silly day-to-day mistakes without even realising.
"Only Marketing carried out a LinkedIn survey, asking what the biggest turn-off on a CV was, and bad grammar ranked number one, showing how important it can be in the job searching process. We promise this session will not be a dull lecture for grammar nit-pickers, but instead focus on why poor grammar makes writing harder for readers to understand and can even change meanings. The experienced trainer will be using individual and group exercises as well as providing a handy handbook to help reinforce our learning from the bite-sized experience.
"If this is of interest to you do not hesitate to contact us via email at [email protected]. For more information on the course please visit the trainers' website."
