Xaar helps tile manufacturers master the art of stunning new effects at Ceramics China

Xaar, renowned for leading the digital inkjet revolution in the ceramics industry worldwide, will be showcasing a range of ceramic tiles with stunning new special effects and intense colours created with the Xaar 1002 GS40 at Ceramics China 2015 next week (Hall 8.1 booth K302).

Visitors to the Xaar booth can also join seminars outlining how these new special effects and intense colours enhance ceramic tile designs and increase tile value.

Tiles on show

Xaar’s tile display has been produced by a number of its leading ink partners, to demonstrate to tile designers and manufacturers the beautiful combination of colour decoration and special effects it is possible to achieve with the Xaar 1002 GS6, GS12 and GS40 printheads.

Tiles from Colorobbia show colour decoration with the Xaar 1002, glossy and hydroactive inks applied with the Xaar 1002 GS40, as well as matt and sinker inks applied with the Xaar 1002 GS12. Tiles printed with fluids from Esmalglass-Itaca show colour, matt and white, and reactive effects all applied with the Xaar 1002 GS12 and glossy with the GS40.  Tiles printed with Ferro inks show lustre, matt and metallics applied with the Xaar 1002 GS40, and colour and sinker with the GS12.  Tiles from Fritta show lustre applied with the GS40 and colour applied with the GS12.

Xaar 1002 GS40

The Xaar 1002 GS40 is the latest addition to the market-leading printhead family.  With high laydown capability (up to 40 g/m2), the GS40 applies lustre, metallic, glues, glossy and matt glazes as well as special larger particle colours.  Now tile designers can create designs delivering real differentiation from standard digitally decorated tiles, increasing value and margins for ceramic tile manufacturers.  Delivering ultimate operational reliability, the Xaar 1002 GS40 features Xaar's TF Technology™; this continuously recirculates the ink past the back of the nozzle during drop ejection.

Xaar’s latest printhead broadens the range of high value ceramic tiles that can be economically produced by existing ceramic tile decoration printers because tile manufacturers can either retrofit the GS40 to existing GS6 or GS12 machines or add a new dedicated GS40 machine.

On-booth educational seminars

Xaar’s popular series of on-booth seminars return to the show this year, and will include a brand new seminar “Master the art of special effects”.  Seminars will take place daily on the Xaar booth (K302).
