Yellow Fever update fromThe Travel Clinic

Update to South Africa's Yellow Fever Certificate requirements from The Travel Clinic Ltd.

Since October 2011, South Africa has insisted upon a valid Yellow Fever Certificate from all travellers aged over 1 year, if travelling from or transiting through a country with a Yellow Fever risk, regardless of the amount of time spent at the airport.

From January 2012 they also demand a certificate following travel or transit via a country with just a low potential for Yellow Fever, such as Zambia or Tanzania.

Travellers who do not have either a valid Yellow Fever certificate or valid Medical Exemption certificate may be refused entry or be quarantined for up to six days.

If you would like to discuss this with a Nurse, or make arrangements to have the vaccine in either our Cambridge or Ipswich clinics,  please phone The Travel Clinic Ltd on 01223 367362.
