Your views sought on current immigration policy

Former Cambridge MP Julian Huppert is asking Cambridge business people to contribute to an inquiry into the effects of the current immigration policy.

Julian writes:

The Home Affairs Select Committee, on which I used to serve, has just launched an inquiry into the effects of the current immigration policy, and in particular the Tier 2 Visa, which has recently reached its cap.

I found that this was an issue frequently raised with me, and I’ve offered to co-ordinate a response from Cambridge businesses. If you would like to contribute, there is a very short (10-question) survey at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/YTHLNR9 .

All responses will be kept confidential, and any quotes used would be anonymised. The deadline for responses is 9th September, so I would be grateful for responses by the end of August.

You can of course submit your own responses – the link to the inquiry is at http://www.parliament.uk/business/committees/committees-a-z/commons-select/home-affairs-committee/news-parliament-2015/150722-new-inquiry-skill-shortages/
