Zettlex is the world’s leading provider of position and speed sensors for harsh environments. The sensors are used in the defence, aerospace, medical and petrochemical sectors with Zettlex exporting to 42 countries. Exports account for nearly 90% of sales.

Mark Howard, Managing Director at Zettlex comments: “It’s a very exciting time for Zettlex with building work underway on our new technology facility. It doesn’t seem so long ago that we were starting up in a garden shed and now we’re a global company opening up sales offices in Europe and USA. Sales for Q1 2017 were our highest ever and we expect to grow at more than 30% this year, for the fifth year in a row.”

Dr. Darran Kreit, Technical Director at Zettlex comments: “We are delighted that our efforts have been recognised with the prestigious Queen’s Award. Our technology is a real game changer and increasingly used as a critical component in some amazing machinery such as surgical robots, unmanned aircraft, satellite communications and space rockets. Only recently, we were informed of its use in some vital kit on the International Space Station.”

Heidi Allen, MP for South Cambridgeshire comments: “I am so pleased that Zettlex has received this recognition from Her Majesty. They are a great example of a high-tech, sustainable business contributing to the local community in South Cambridgeshire and making a name for themselves on the global stage.”
