We want to invite all businesses across Fenland to join us for an important and collaborative event focused on the skills and workforce challenges facing local employers.
Low skills levels are a big issue in Fenland, with more than one-in-five (20.9%) working age adults lacking a Level 2 qualification (almost 12,000 people)
This free business breakfast event brings together employers, educators, and industry leaders to discuss how we can bridge the gap between education and employment and work collectively to develop practical, local solutions to recruiting and retaining talent.
What to expect:
- A keynote address from Mark Thurston, CEO of Anglian Water, sharing strategic insights on workforce development
- An interactive apprentice panel, offering real-world perspectives from both employers and learners
- Open discussion and networking with fellow Fenland businesses and education partners
- A shared focus on practical actions to strengthen the local workforce pipeline
This event is delivered in collaboration with Support Fenland and supported by the Local Skills Improvement Plan, ensuring discussions are aligned with local and regional priorities.
Whether you are currently recruiting, planning for future skills needs, or simply want to be part of shaping solutions for Fenland’s workforce, your voice is important. We strongly encourage businesses of all sizes and sectors to attend.
We look forward to welcoming you and working together to support Fenland’s businesses and future workforce.
In collaboration with Support Fenland.
