To mark the event, Cambridgeshire Digital Partnership is holding an in-person
networking event on Thursday 11th September at 10.00am at Jack Colville Hall, Churchill College, Cambridge. This event is for anyone who wants to work together to tackle digital inequality in Cambridgeshire.
Sustainable Tech 4 Good has done pioneering work to address digital exclusion in Cambridgeshire since 2020.
We have already delivered 1,585 digital devices in Cambridgeshire, through 50 local charity/NFP partners, to enable people to improve their lives through digital access.
Having a large stake in expanding digital inclusion in the county, we are delighted to be taking part in this event.
Our founder, Sue Gowling, will speak on how, as an independent with no external funding, we are able to marry together sustainability with making a significant impact on digital inclusion.
The event is being hosted by Will Plant, Digital Inclusion Lead at Connecting Cambridgeshire, an organisation that partners with Sustainable Tech 4 Good to help extend the availability of digital devices to lift people out of digital poverty across the county.
Christine Liang, Head of Digital Inclusion Programme at the Department of Science Innovation and Technology, will also give an update on their work and the recently launched Digital Inclusion Innovation Fund.
Digital exclusion is such a barrier to people being able to thrive in our increasingly digital world.
Sustainable Tech 4 Good supports all initiatives to raise awareness of this vital issue and will continue to work with our business partners to extend the significant impact we have already had in Cambridgeshire.
