Isogenica is a Cambridge-based biotechnology CRO specialising in the discovery and engineering of VHH single-domain antibodies for next-generation biologics.

We work with biotech and biopharma teams developing antibody-based therapeutics, including bi-specifics, multi-specifics, antibody-drug conjugates, T-cell engagers, targeted delivery approaches and other advanced biologic formats.

Our role is to help drug developers identify high-quality, developable VHH candidates faster and with greater confidence. We combine proprietary CIS Display™ technology with some of the world’s largest synthetic VHH libraries, enabling high-diversity screening without animal immunisation.

This approach is particularly valuable for complex discovery programmes involving challenging targets such as membrane proteins, GPCRs, ion channels, intracellular targets, nanodisc-presented proteins and cell-based formats. Programmes can be tailored around the biology of the target, the intended therapeutic format and the downstream development requirements.

With over 25 years of antibody discovery experience, more than 100 programmes delivered for biotech and biopharma partners, and multiple candidates progressed into clinical trials, Isogenica combines platform scale with deep scientific expertise. Our technical team brings experience across CRO, biopharma and academic research environments, working closely with partners from early discovery through to lead selection and VHH engineering.

Based in the Cambridge UK biotech ecosystem, Isogenica works as a science-led extension of partner teams. We support programmes where speed, developability, IP position and technical confidence matter, helping drug developers reduce early-stage risk and make stronger decisions on the path towards therapeutic milestones.
