Cambridge hospital announces public consultation

The Director of The Nuffield Health Cambridge Hospital has announced today the dates of the public consultation on the plans to build a brand-new hospital on the present site in Trumpington Road.

The consultation is to be held on Tuesday 9and Thursday 11October, between 6.30pm and 9.00pm at The Nuffield Hospital.

As Director, Maxine Estop, with her colleagues, welcomes the opportunity to share with interested Cambridge residents what is proposed for the site, which has hosted a hospital since the Evelyn was built there in 1921, and is very much part of Cambridge.

Nuffield Health, the hospital’s parent charity, is hoping to receive planning permission from the City planners to build what will be a small hospital, of comparable size to the present building, offering the highest standards of 21st-century hospital care.

‘We would like to show clearly at the consultation what our plans are and to answer the questions that Cambridge residents wish to ask,’ Maxine Estop said. “We hope that the evening will be interesting to everyone attending.’
