This year, The Marketing Centre (TMC) is proud to support Challenge for Change 2026 — a month-long global movement challenge that turns everyday activity into meaningful support for children's charities around the world.
What It Is
Challenge for Change runs from 30th August to 30th September 2026. Participants — individuals or teams — log kilometres through walking, running, cycling, swimming, or mobility equipment, with every kilometre counting equally toward a shared global target. There's no minimum fitness level or experience required. A short daily walk contributes just as meaningfully as a long-distance run.
The initiative is being driven within TMC by David Fenton, Regional Director for Thames Valley, as part of a wider commitment to causes that matter beyond the boardroom.
The Cause
Every participant or team raises funds for a children's charity of their choice — supporting causes local to them, from youth mental health to healthcare and wellbeing. The model is simple: global participation, local impact. You choose the charity that means something to you, and your effort goes directly to it.

This builds on a strong foundation. In 2025, the challenge exceeded its target with 46,000 km covered and over £45,000 raised across 31 different children's charities — proof that collective, low-barrier effort adds up to real, measurable change.
