The Cambridge Science & Technology Torchbearer Award, delivered in collaboration with Cambridge Innovation Capital, will celebrate businesses whose commercial success is inseparable from measurable societal value.
The award highlights organisations demonstrating that world-class innovation can, and should, strengthen the communities in which it operates.
It aims to encourage the next wave of startups and scaling companies to embed societal value into their business models from the outset, rather than treating it as a later-stage consideration.

The winner will be announced at the Business Weekly Awards ceremony at Queens’ College, Cambridge, on Wednesday 16 September 2026.
In addition to the award, the winning company will receive coverage in the Business Weekly Awards edition, along with a dedicated case study developed by Innovate Cambridge and shared across its network, including at its annual conference in October.
