UK Business Delegation to China: CIIE Shanghai & Hangzhou Innovation Visit, 3–12 November 2026

Cambridge-based NPZ Technology Ltd, as promotional partner to London agency Intennel Business Group, invites UK businesses to join a ten-day delegation to Shanghai and Hangzhou this November — combining the world's largest import-themed expo with visits to Alibaba, Unitree Robotics and Hangzhou's innovation ecosystem.

The 9TH China International Import Expo (CIIE)

From 3 to 12 November 2026, a ten-day UK business delegation will travel to Shanghai and Hangzhou, organised by Intennel Business Group (IBG) with Cambridge-based NPZ Technology Ltd as promotional partner. Where October's Canton Fair delegation focuses on sourcing from China, this programme addresses the opposite question: how to sell into it.

Why the CIIE? The China International Import Expo (5–10 November, National Exhibition and Convention Center, Shanghai) is the world's first import-themed national-level expo, held annually since 2018 and hosted by China's Ministry of Commerce and the Shanghai Municipal Government, with partners including the WTO and UN agencies. Drawing exhibitors from over 180 countries and hundreds of thousands of professional visitors, it is China's flagship platform for international brands, products and services entering the Chinese market — offering structured matchmaking, government-backed trade facilitation and direct exposure to Chinese buyers and distributors. For companies wishing to go beyond visiting, exhibition stand options at CIIE can also be arranged through the organiser.

Why add Hangzhou? A 45-minute high-speed train from Shanghai, Hangzhou is one of China's leading innovation hubs and home to its digital economy. The delegation includes curated visits to Alibaba Group headquarters (with an AI application session), BrainCo (brain–computer interface technologies), Unitree Robotics (full-sized electric humanoid robots) and SHENHAO Technology (industrial robotics) — with keynote talks and roundtables on AI, humanoid robotics and human–machine interaction.

Who should join: international brands and service providers looking to enter the Chinese market; business owners and decision-makers exploring a China presence or strategic partnerships; investors evaluating China's market potential; companies preparing for future CIIE participation; and technology companies interested in China's innovation ecosystem.
