REF Administrator (Part Time, Fixed Term)

The McDonald Institute for Archaeological Research invites applications for a 0.2 FTE (7.3 hours/week)REF administrator. The role holder will work directly with the Chair and members of the Archaeology REF Committee for the University of Cambridge, and act as liaison with central university support teams.

The appointee will join a thriving community of academics and professional staff, and work at the intersection between researchers and administrators to ensure a successful and timely delivery of our submission to REF.

We are seeking a highly organised, self-driven individual who is familiar with REF and open access compliance, competent with ICT, and able to handle confidential information appropriately.

The working pattern will be quite flexible, and agreed with the line manager.

Starting date: 01/10/2026, or as soon as possible thereafter.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 12 months in the first instance.
