On Tuesday, Fausta, our Principal Recruitment Consultant and Laura, our Senior Recruitment Consultant, attended the East Cambs Careers and Skills Fair at Ely Cathedral. The event was in aid of providing employers and young students an opportunity to discuss options available to them after they leave school, preparing them for the future of work.
We had an exhibition stand representing Busy Bee Recruitment which had some engaging and fun games for the children to get involved in. One game involved the children spinning a wheel and having to describe what that specific job role consisted of, allowing them to further learn about the many different types of careers available to them when they enter the world of work – anyone who answered correctly won a bag of sweets!
Fausta and Laura also offered out some tips on writing their CVs as well as some tips for future interviews they may attend.
“We found the children to be very engaged and excited about their future careers. We were able to have chats with them and give them tips on applying for apprenticeships.” - Fausta
Overall, it was a great event, and an opportunity for us to provide an insight into what Recruitment Agencies such as Busy Bee do.
“I myself really struggled to know what I wanted to do after I left school, so I felt that I could really relate to some of the young people that I spoke to.” – Laura
