Cambridge Network welcomes early opening of A14 bypass

Cambridge Network Leaders Academy group visits the A14 site

A large part of the A14 project will open next Monday (9 December). Cambridge Network Executive Director Claire Ruskin says: "We are delighted to see such a huge project managed well and delivering ahead of schedule so far."

The new 12-mile bypass, which runs between Swavesey and Ellington, will open to traffic on Monday.

Claire says: "The road to the East of Swavesey is still on schedule for end of 2020 but the West portion being delivered a year early is a great achievement.

"Cambridge Network’s group of CEOs toured the sites and the new bridges last month and heard about the challenges and successes involving the huge workforce.  As always, we learnt much from seeing how different projects operate."
