September 2026: Grab your walking boots and join Ben Obese-Jecty MP for Huntingdon on Saturday 10th October at The Waterfront at Grafham Water, as he joins fellow Cambridgeshire (and beyond) residents on a sponsored walk in aid of local rewilding charity, Creating Nature’s Corridors.
The choice of three (three miles, nine miles or 18 miles) scenic routes at Grafham Water provides novice and professional walkers alike with the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment to helping to preserve the local natural environment by raising precious funds to plant more trees. These trees play a vital important role in saving our planet, from helping to fight climate change and purifying the air that we breathe, to offering a necessary haven for wildlife and protecting and improving water sources. Trees even act as a flood deterrent and, during hot weather, deliver essential natural air conditioning!
Walkers pay a £10 fee (£5 for children under the age of 18) to participate but are also encouraged to raise further funds via sponsorship. All participants will receive an (environmentally friendly) medal upon completion and can enjoy a well-earned drink and tasty treat in the recently revamped The Waterfront café. Well-behaved walkers with four paws also welcome!
