Head to Wandlebury to experience sweet treats at pop up café

Visitors to Wandlebury will be in for a real treat if they visit the park over the Bank Holiday weekend (Sunday 24 and Monday 25 August). Cambridge Past, Present & Future (CambridgePPF) – the charity that owns and manages the site – is organising a pop up café, which will be open for business from 10:30am to 4:30pm.

Delicious delights on offer will include homemade cakes and lemonade, gingerbread people, and fruit squash – all of which are sure to appeal to young visitors. For adult visitors out for a stroll, a more grown up selection of tea and coffee plus lemon drizzle, chocolate, coffee and fruit cakes will be available to purchase as a little energy boost. Jams and jellies made from local fruit will also be on sale for visitors to purchase and take home.

Trustees and volunteers of the charity are staffing the café with profits from refreshments going towards the upkeep of the park. Wandlebury is Cambridge’s original country park and is open for members of the public to enjoy 365 days of the year.

The CambridgePPF pop up café will be located near to the Tadlow Granary, just off the main path in the walled inner ring, close to the Stable Rooms / Education Centre. Nearby picnic tables will be available for visitors to rest tired legs while they enjoy a restorative snack and drink.
