Hundreds headed to Cambridge Network's popular jobs fair

The Cambridge Network recruitment event on Friday was a busy afternoon of workshops, talks and exhibitions. Over 20 companies joined us at the Hauser Forum to discuss their live vacancies with job seekers.

Workshops run by the event's Headline Sponsor PA Consulting and Sponsor Undo were well received and the CV drop-in clinic by recruitment agency polkadotfrog had people queuing in the corridor!

Around 200 job seekers were welcomed through the door throughout the afternoon and were also joined by Jemima Wilcox who was taking headshots for people to use on their LinkedIn profiles.

Employers: Recruitment Gateway events are proving increasingly popular with local companies – and many are succeeding in finding the right people to fill their vacancies.  Martin Frost, Chief Executive Officer of Cambridge Medical Robotics (CMR), commented: “We like Cambridge Network’s recruitment events and recruited five excellent people at one of them recently!

“Engineers and scientists are tough to find but because Cambridge Network brings fresh people in, we have had good success; that’s all helped to build our team to 100 staff six months ahead of plan. With good links outside Cambridge, the Network helps bring talent in for the positive growth Cambridge continues to experience.  Cambridge Network is very useful to companies like ours that are scaling up fast.”
