Planning an event often begins with three deceptively simple questions: what will it cost, what happens when, and will the venue internet actually cope?
Cambridge-based event production company WaveFX has launched a free online toolkit to help organisers get useful answers before the first guest arrives.
The toolkit brings together an Event Cost Calculator, Run Sheet Creator and Venue Internet Checker. Organisers can explore likely production costs, build a clear schedule for speakers and crew, and get an early view of broadband and mobile coverage around a UK venue.

The tools are based on lessons WaveFX has picked up from more than 20 years of producing conferences, webcasts, hybrid events and company broadcasts. They are designed to give organisers a practical starting point, whether they are planning a small internal meeting or a larger live production.
“Too many event headaches begin with questions that were never asked early enough,” said Jamie Huckle of WaveFX. “We wanted to create something genuinely useful that helps people spot potential problems while there is still time to solve them.”
