Making an impact (and money!) at the Cambridge Forum

The Cambridge Forum was in full swing again this year at the Corn Exchange with speakers and events showcasing the very best of what Cambridge has to offer. Highlights included an opening session from Cambridge legend Dr. David Cleevely, a major partnership announcement from Crosure, the digital insurance company, and the soft launch of the AlgoDynamix impact investment fund based on the latest research from Cambridge Judge Business School.

AlgoDynamix Jeremy Sosabowski, PhD at the Cambridge Forum launching their impact fund

The annual Cambridge Forum was back again this year with a compelling programme exploring how AI and emerging medical technologies can deliver meaningful real-world impact. With “Tech 4 Good” at the heart of these events, the Forum brought together leading technologists, academics, policy-makers, entrepreneurs and development professionals.

AlgoDynamix was also there in full force with the ‘soft launch’ of their latest range of impact investment fund analytics. The work is based on the latest research [1] from Cambridge Judge Business School, challenging the conventional assumption that investors must choose between strong financial returns and positive impact. The research shows that this is no longer the case, as both can be achieved simultaneously enabled by the all-pervading AlgoDynamix price forecasting analytics engine.

Jeremy Sosabowski PhD (Cantab), Executive Director - AlgoDynamix, comments:

Once again the invisible hand of the Cambridge phenomenon ecosystem is doing its magic with cutting edge academic research being rapidly commercialised and offering unprecedented access to best-in-class innovation. We will be going ahead with our impact invest fund, another first ever from AlgoDynamix.

Dr. Ehab Shanti, President Cambridge Forum and CEO of Crosure:

The Cambridge Forum has once again demonstrated what it was designed to do: harness the power of technology in pursuit of solutions to the world’s most pressing problems. We are delighted to hear about AlgoDynamix’s progress to date and we are looking forward to an even more impactful Cambridge Forum event in Sep 2027.

Please do join the AlgoDynamix mailing list for ongoing updates regarding the impact fund progress or indeed other company initiatives across many different sectors and asset classes.

About Cambridge Forum:

Cambridge Forum is an independent global forum on a mission to unite technologists, academics, policymakers, entrepreneurs, and development professionals in a shared space to exchange knowledge and skills. Through practical training and real-world applications, we will harness advanced technology in pursuit of solutions to address the world's most pressing challenges.

About AlgoDynamix:

AlgoDynamix is a pioneer of behavioural-based price forecasting for financial markets. Its forecasting analytics provide advance warning of major directional market movements but unlike other solutions, the underlying technology does not require any historical data or knowledge of any previous disruptive events. The analytics cover most asset classes, including Equities, Commodities and Crypto.

The company started in 2014 with software based on many years of academic research at the University of Cambridge. Based in Cambridge and London (UK), the company works with a broad range of asset managers, such as CTAs, hedge funds, family offices and other managed funds.
