Lens Not Label taught me what my job actually is

TL;DR: In November, I'm listed as a contributor on the back of a book called Lens Not Label, written by Claire Pedrick and Kim Witten. Working alongside two people whose actual skill is writing a book taught me something useful about my own skill, which has nothing to do with writing and everything to do with what happens in the room once the book is closed.
