7,300 heartland businesses with 20 or more staff
Analysis(1) of industry data by Cambridge & Counties Bank reveals that there are some 7,340 businesses in the three counties each employing 20 staff or more. Furthermore, it found that there are 2,935 companies each employing 50 people or more.

Global equity markets recorded modest losses last week, amid continuing uncertainty over the outlook for the Eurozone. The US Federal Reserve’s stance on monetary easing was also the subject of debate, adding to the uncertainty prevailing in the market during the early part of the week.
