Small claims track for Intellectual Property launched in UK

The new small claims track at the Patents County Court was officially launched on 1 October 2012.

The new track will deal specifically with lower value (capped at £5,000), less complex claims in copyright, trade mark and unregistered design right disputes. Claims will be determined through an informal hearing, thus significantly reducing the cost of pursuing intellectual property infringement.
