At a time when many face job uncertainty, Form the Future’s Ready for Work course aims to support those looking to improve their work readiness skills and find the job that’s right for them.
The course has been designed to help those seeking employment gain the confidence and essential skills needed to take their next steps – whether looking to apply for a first job, rejoin the workforce after a career break, or brush up on skills ahead of a career change.
Split between two virtual workshops and a third private careers guidance session, the course covers topics such as CV writing skills, interview skills for virtual and in-person interviews, using social media to engage with employers and building confidence and self awareness.
The course also delivers the training and support required for businesses to access Kickstart funding.
Anne Bailey, CEO of Form the Future, said: “The pandemic has led to the deepest recession on record. Younger workers and those in precarious employment have been the worst affected.

To access the course for free, you need to be over 16-years-old, not in full time education living in the former GCGP LEP area (all of Cambridge, Peterborough, and parts of Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Lincolnshire.)
The course has been created by Form the Future, as part of the ESF-funded Target Apprenticeships programme.
