We are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher who is working with the detection of repetitive sequences in RNA using a combination of DNA nanotechnology with solid-state nanopore sensing. The successful applicant will join a team of researchers led by Professor Ulrich Keyser. The work will focus on RNA quantification in complex background. Within the project we will put special emphasis on developing tandem repeat quantification from nucleic-acid molecules. Experience with single-molecule nanopore sensing and including glass nanopore fabrication is essential for the role.
The successful candidate will hold a PhD in Physics, Nanotechnology or Engineering.
Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available for 15 months in the first instance.
