Tame your computer - cool calendar coordinates

In her regular series for Cambridge Network members - now in its 15th year - software training expert Karen Roem offers handy tips to help you 'Tame your computer'. This week she compares ways to move around the Outlook and Google calendar.

I recently posted a tip on LinkedIn, comparing ways to move around the Outlook and Google Calendar. For those of you who are not on LinkedIn I thought I’d share this quick overview:

[[{"fid":"295096","view_mode":"default","fields":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"calendar options from Roem","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":"calendar options from Roem"},"link_text":false,"type":"media","field_deltas":{"1":{"format":"default","alignment":"","field_file_image_alt_text[und][0][value]":"calendar options from Roem","field_file_image_title_text[und][0][value]":"calendar options from Roem"}},"attributes":{"alt":"calendar options from Roem","title":"calendar options from Roem","class":"media-element file-default","data-delta":"1"}}]]

Outlook has the added benefit that you can jump to a date using English words and formulas, which I love.

OK, that doesn't work in Google, but if you are still typing 14/09/2021 to jump to tomorrow’s date you can save yourself some time by typing 14/9. No need to type leading zeros or years.
