Top Translation Tip #2: What is your deadline?

Translation is a skill and, as such, sufficient time is needed to produce an accurate and sympathetic translation. Be realistic with your deadline and try not to leave time-sensitive projects to the last minute, says First Edition Translations Ltd.

The company writes: We estimate around 1000 words a day from our translators, so a 10,000 word document cannot be done accurately and to the high quality we demand in just a few days. On occasion, multiple translators can be brought in to help with a large volume project, but the downside to this is the risk of losing the consistency and style of an individual translator.

So if you know you have a print deadline, or even a flight deadline, get your project in nice and early and lose the stress!
