    New report estimates half a million people at risk of Type 2 diabetes in East of England

    According to a new report published today by Public Health England (PHE), well over half a million (589,696) people in the East of England are estimated to have blood sugar levels indicating a high risk of developing Type 2 diabetes, compared to an estimated 5 million people in England. That is equivalent to one in ten people over the age of 16 living in the region.
