This coming Friday is World Hearing Day - an annual global campaign aiming to raise awareness of hearing loss and promote hearing care. Hearing loss is a major public health issue that affects over 11 million people in the UK – that’s more than 1 in 6 of us. According to  'Hearing Matters' reportthere will be approximately 15.6 million people with hearing loss in the UK by 2035 – a fifth of the population.

Exposure to loud noise is one of the biggest causes of permanent hearing loss and tinnitus so it's important to know how to protect your hearing. Head to our website to have a look at our 'Protecting your hearing' booklet to find out about noise-induced hearing loss (NIHL) and get some tips on how to protect your hearing.
