New Starter Health Assessment

Having all the information you need to proactively manage your employees’ health from the moment they join your organisation, may help you to minimise the likelihood of their long-term absence in the future. As a result you could reduce costs associated with absenteeism and prevent negative impact on the continuity and performance of your business.

The service also helps with an early identification of those in need of assistance or extra protection in accordance with The Equality Act 2010. We recommend any appropriate adjustments and provide advice on how to avoid aggravating employee’s condition by the requirements of the job. You can then move forward in the employment process with confidence that the health of your new staff is protected and that you are compliant with the current legislation.

Our experienced OH Advisors report where an employee is fit to do the role with restrictions or where further clinical support and guidance is required. They offer recommendations so that you can support your staff to work efficiently and safely from day one.

Validated by our clinical team, health questionnaires are quick and simple to fill in on OH platform by your prospective employees. The questionnaires can be tailored to your organisation's requirements and the risks your employees will face in their new roles.

Online platform means that you can collect and assess the information easily, making your recruitment process faster and more effective. We keep you informed about the progress of the health assessments via automatic update notifications.

Health Surveillance

Health and Safety Executive (HSE) statutory regulations require employers to provide health surveillance for employees who are exposed to health risks at work that could have a negative impact on their health. This could include exposure to noise, vibration, radiation, solvents, fumes, dusts and other hazardous substances. By providing health surveillance, businesses and organisations can demonstrate that they are meeting their duty of care for their staff.

Monitoring the health of employees exposed to specific health risks can help businesses prevent and control occupational diseases in their workplaces. Detecting ill-health effects at an early stage will help businesses to ensure better controls are put in place to prevent them from getting worse.  Also, health surveillance programme can enable employees to raise any concerns about how work affects their health.

audiometry test

We cover everything from audiometry, skin assessments, spirometry to biological monitoring and HAVs testing.  We make sure that all employees are screened appropriately in line with risk assessments and are consistently seen within the stipulated timescales.

We successfully cover all parts of the UK so regardless where the businesses and organisations are located, we can come to them and conduct onsite health surveillance. Our experienced team of OH Advisors and Technicians are fully equipped to undertake all health assessments that are needed in the workplace

Employee Wellbeing

As part of a wellbeing plan our services can support the management of health in the workplace and help foster a positive health culture. By taking a positive and proactive approach to staff's health and wellbeing you could significantly reduce sickness absence in the workplace, as healthy and happy employees are less likely to suffer from illnesses and mental burnout.

Our health and wellbeing initiatives include a wide range of seminars and webinars on various topics such as mental health awareness, dealing with pressure, healthy eating, menopause, and many others. We also offer basic and comprehensive health checks that presents an excellent way for employees to gain an insight into their current wellbeing and encourage them to make positive lifestyle changes.

Happy employee in the office

Through our partner services there are also Mental Health First Aid Training Courses available. These online or onsite courses, certified by Mental Health First Aid England, are designed to raise the awareness of mental health in the workplace, reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues and teach attendees how to have confidence to step in, reassure and support a person in emotional distress. Moreover, every month we supply a range of free digital health information brochures covering various health awareness events and topics. The brochures, which offer practical tips and signposting, can be later distributed by e-mail or through an intranet to reach your staff.
