Centre 33
Centre 33 provides free, confidential support to young people aged up to 25 across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We work to empower young people through services addressing mental health, housing, sexual health, caring responsibilities, money and benefits, and more.
With over 40 years of experience, we partner with professionals, organisations, and communities to ensure young people can access the help they need - via in-person, digital, and outreach services across the region.
Centre 33 exists to help every young person in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough fulfil their potential.
We believe young people should be listened to without judgement, and have access to free, confidential support, whatever their background or circumstance.
We work with young people up to the age of 25, offering practical and emotional support on:
- Mental health & emotional wellbeing
- Housing & homelessness
- Sexual health
- Caring responsibilities (including young carers support)
- Money, debt & benefits
- Employment, education & training
- Substance misuse, abuse and self-harm
Our services are delivered through drop-in hubs in Cambridge, Peterborough, Ely, Huntingdon and Wisbech, as well as outreach in schools, colleges, and local communities. Support is available in person, online, by phone, and via text or WhatsApp.
We have been working alongside young people and professionals for over 40 years. Our multidisciplinary team includes trained counsellors, youth workers and advisors who work closely with schools, local authorities, healthcare providers, and other voluntary sector partners.
Centre 33 also runs a Young Carers Project, offering one-to-one support, group activities, respite opportunities, school liaison and transition support - all designed to help young carers manage their responsibilities while maintaining their wellbeing and education.
Working Together
Our relationships within the local community are incredibly important to us - and crucial in allowing us to continue our work supporting young people. We are always looking to develop meaningful partnerships with:
- Community organisations
- Corporate partners
- Educational providers
- Local authorities and health professionals
- Individuals who want to support or collaborate with our work
Whether through joint projects, awareness raising, CSR & ESG initiatives, or fundraising, we welcome opportunities to work together to improve outcomes for local young people.
"I had no support. I was alone and had Centre 33 not been there and helped me, I honestly don't believe I would be here today. Centre 33 made sure I had a place to sleep, food to eat and a warm place during the day, as well as listening to me...Thank you so much for being there when no-one else was."
