Senior HR Coordinator [Temporary Cover]

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced HR Coordinator to provide HR advice and deliver on a range of HR processes for the Health, Safety and Regulated Facilities Division (HSRF).

Working alongside the Director of Operational Resources and Operations Director, the Senior HR Coordinator role is a key position within the HR administrative team with particular support to the University Biomedical Services department, providing a professional, timely and accurate HR service to all members of the department and wider Health, Safety and Regulated Facilities division.

You will be providing HR advice, overseeing and administering a range of HR processes for the division including recruitment and on boarding, staff performance, disciplinary/grievance, staff engagement and wellbeing, terms and conditions of employment, and workforce planning.

You shall manage the HR Administrator role for the department assisting with day to day HR administration duties; overseeing and allocating work, supporting staff training and ensuring correct processes are followed.

You shall interact with staff at all levels, providing reports and strategic advice to managers, Heads of Department and the directorate on policy implementation, writing guidance in line with University policies and supporting the Division with strategic change.

The role holder shall manage the department's relationship with its temporary staff suppliers, coordinating temporary Staff requirements across the department to ensure the deployment of appropriately trained staff. Maintaining appropriate records, processing invoices and recharge requests to ensure that staffing costs are allocated correctly.

You will have a background in HR, with experience advising on staffing matters, dealing with recruitment as well other HR administrative duties. This role will be suited to an individual who is highly organised, able to work unsupervised and plan and plan their own workload over both short and medium term, and used to dealing with different queries and often conflicting deadlines.

You will be an excellent communicator able to build effective relationships at all levels, able to maintain high levels of confidentiality and integrity whilst delivering a professional service to all.

Temporary cover (Maternity): The role is available until 29 September 2027 or the return of the post holder, whichever is the earlier. The role is subject to six month probationary period.

In addition to the base salary stated above, the successful candidate for this post will receive an additional 2.5% supplement to their pay.
