Managers considering leadership courses for themselves or for others must ask four key questions:
- Will they deliver measurable business impact?
- Do you expect to be able to justify them in terms of value for money?
- Can you identify specific productivity improvements you expect to achieve as a result?
- Have you justified the cost in terms of measurable targeted difference to your operational and strategic targets?
The rationale behind investment in leadership courses is too often supply-sided. For this reason we have partnered with ILM to provide leadership courses that are linked to demand, and that embody our methodical approach to impact planning, measurement and reporting.
These courses take the student along a road that:
- Defines the business improvements sought from improved leadership;
- Establishes performance and behavioural outcomes to achieve these;
- Sets clear learning objectives;
- Examines the motivation and buy-in required for improved performance.
- They lend themselves to bespoke solutions to the problems and opportunities middle managers face.
- They ensure that leadership investment is planned, monitored, evaluated and reports on individual and team performance and behaviour changes and the subsequent business impact.
Skilled managers and leaders hold the key to business and economic success. Among the many leadership training courses available, these are exceptional in embodying the means to drive and track measureable changes in behaviours and performance and the specific contribution these make to organisational results. This includes the ability to report value for money and a robustly calculated return on investment. Therefore, at abdi, we usually work with a team or group from your organisation to ensure that team and individual performances is measured and delivered.
On average, participants in abdi courses record an 82% on their importance to their organisations, and an 80% rating on their importance to the highest levels of performance in their jobs. Matched with ILM’s record of 93% of participating employers saying managers perform better at work after an ILM qualification, and 90% saying that managers communicate better and give better feedback and are better at motivating teams, these new courses are a major step forward in leadership training.
Courses will be held on the 19-20(Unit 519) and the 22-23(Unit 505) of May. Full attendance of the course is priced at £1,850+VAT or £950+VAT per unit.
