Highways England has appointed Arcadis as a supplier to its Regional Project Control Support contract. The contract forms a core part of the delivery of widening and junction improvement schemes across the East of England over the next four years. This will include major upgrade and improvement works such as the A428 improvements between Black Cat roundabout and Caxton Gibbet, near St Neots, as well as new stretches of dual carriageway on the A47 between Blofield and North Burlingham in Norwich, and Wansford to Sutton in Cambridgeshire.
Working closely with Highways England project teams and suppliers across the portfolio, Arcadis will be providing a comprehensive project controls service, including commercial, risk and schedule through all stages of projects within the region.
This will include gathering data, as well as managing and analysing the results to understand, predict and positively influence factors such as project scope, time and cost. This will help to drive greater efficiencies, improve performance and sustainability across the lifecycle of each project and provide predictable outcomes across the East region.

Highway’s England’s programme will deliver significant investment into improving England’s strategic road network across six core regions. In each region, the priority is to connect people and places, helping to improve the quality of life for local communities and road users. Every project being delivered as part of the Regional Investment Programme aims to improve the local strategic network and stimulate economic growth within the region, whilst still being considerate to the local surroundings.
