The non-profit distributing organisation, called Cambridge Live, will take over from Cambridge City Council, the governance, management and operation of the Cambridge Corn Exchange and Guildhall, the Cambridge Folk Festival as well as other live arts and entertainment events in Cambridge and the surrounding area. The Trust will start trading on 1st April 2015 when the staff and assets will transfer from Cambridge City Council.
Cambridge Live is being set up as a charitable company, limited by guarantee and governed by a board of 11 Trustees who will also act as company directors. Its Founding Chair has been confirmed as Sara Garnham who will lead on a recruitment campaign to assemble the board.
