Cambridge conference attracts hi-tech developers from across the region

Hi-tech development engineers came together at Cambourne to explore new technologies and tools for the development of intelligent systems and devices

The UK Device Developers' Conference took place at Cambourne on Thursday. Engineers, computer scientists and designers of electronics from across the region attended the conference to learn about new technologies, new tools and new approached to the design of intelligent systems and devices.   Such topics as 'safety critical software', 'device to cloud connectivity' and 'designing user interfaces' were explored. The conference included an exhibition of tools and technologies, a series of half-day technical workshops and two streams of technical presentations presented by industry experts.    "It's been a rewarding day," said Richard Blackburn, Conference Manager. "This year's Conference had a very strong agenda, covering many important and pertinent topics such as software reliability, data security and machine to internet connectivity. The exhibition was also very active with some impressive hardware solutions on display and many industry experts available to discuss development issues."   Several companies local to Reading took part in the Conference. These included Undo Systems, Pico Technologies, Eurotech and Cambridge Consultants. Each of these companies are respected leaders in the hi-tech sector. The event was sponsored by some of the worlds leading development tools vendors such as German debug tool developer Lauterbach.   "We are very pleased to participate in this event." said Barry Lock, UK Manager at Lauterbach.
