CambridgePPF AGM hears about North West Cambridge development

Local charity Cambridge Past, Present & Future (CambridgePPF) is holding its Annual General Meeting (AGM) tomorrow (Tuesday 15 October) at The Hauser Forum on Charles Babbage Road, Cambridge.

The AGM will start at 6:45pm following a guided walk around the University of Cambridge’s West Cambridge Campus. The meeting will be followed by a talk from Roger Taylor, Project Director of the North West Cambridge Development – the largest single capital development project that the University of Cambridge has undertaken in its 800-year history.

CambridgePPF keeps a close eye on the changing face of Cambridge and its surroundings. Working closely with local decision makers the charity aims to influence planning decisions, champion sustainable development and protect green openspaces so that the city can continue to prosper and grow.

CambridgePPF also manages a number of historic buildings and country parks in and around the city including Wandlebury Country Park. These special places provide the setting for the charity’s environmental education programme, which caters for people of all ages. In 2012 more than 2500 school children visited Wandlebury to explore the Cambridgeshire countryside alongside the charity’s dedicated environmental education team.

Anyone interested in finding out more about CambridgePPF is welcome to attend the AGM and join the talk. Please call 01223 243830 for more information or go to: www.cambridgeppf.org
