Creativity in business: is it a game changer?

In these uncertain times, creativity is in very high demand.  Dr Alex Carter of the University of Cambridge Institute of Continuing Education (ICE)  will explore the ways in which creativity can be fostered in your organisation at a special Cambridge Network event on Monday 24 February (8.30 to 11am).

Increasingly, business leaders are hearing and saying a lot about creativity. These discussions are driven, at least in part, by the perceived threat of automation and a corresponding motivation to develop soft skills, such as collaboration, communication and creativity.

Creativity is not just a way to ‘future-proof’ your career; it also promises organisations the means to gain from disorder (anti-fragility). In these uncertain times, creativity is in very high demand.

Join Cambridge Network and ICE for a Business Breakfast at Madingley Hall in Cambridge (free parking), where the talk will cover:

  •     Various underlying theories of creativity and the implications of each exposed.
  •     What is ‘permission to fail’ and how can it be fostered within an organisation? Would it help to avoid mentioning “failure” altogether - or would “failure” still loom over us?
  •     How can we foster co-creation within an organisation? To what extent is collaboration a silent practice (rather than a vocal one)?
