There will be 45 polling stations open across the city at 39 different locations from 7am-10pm on polling day (see list below).
Residents’ poll cards indicate which polling station in their ward they should use. Details can also be found on the Where Do I Vote website: https://wheredoivote.co.uk/
All polling stations are accessible to people with a mobility or visual disability and staff will be on hand at each polling station to provide any assistance that people voting may need.
Everyone who registered and is eligible to vote will now have received a poll card – although people do not need their poll card to vote, they simply need to give their name and address to the polling clerk.
The counts for the elections will take place at The Guildhall on Thursday 3 May after the polls have closed. Results are expected by the early hours of Friday morning.
Antoinette Jackson, Chief Executive of Cambridge City Council and Returning Officer for the elections, said: “It’s very straightforward to vote, and I would urge everyone eligible to vote to take part in this year’s elections for Cambridge City Council. This is an opportunity to ensure you have a say in important decisions which could affect you.
“I would like to remind residents that if they need any advice or assistance when they get to the polling station on 3 May, there will be members of staff on hand throughout the day to provide help.”
