The survey will help Smart Journeys (a project co-led by Cambridgeshire County Council which supports the delivery of sustainable journeys) to understand how residents across the county travel to work in a post-pandemic environment and the barriers they face.
The survey goes live on Monday 11 October and employers are being asked to encourage staff to fill in details about their journeys to and from work during a typical one-week period. The survey will be live for a two week period and close on Sunday 24th October.
The survey takes approximately five minutes to complete and a summary of the results will be provided free to every participating workplace.
In addition, employers can request further analysis through the county council’s ‘Sustainable Travel Accessibility Analysis’. This is where data collected in the survey will be used to analyse different commuting options to develop travel time maps and reports.
This additional data will enable employers to:
Recognise which commuting options are viable for staff
Establish a business case to focus resource to improve on-site provision
Develop behavioural change initiatives based upon solid facts.
Demonstrate gaps in public transport services and present evidence to operators
Calculate potential environmental/carbon savings.
Employers wishing to take part in the survey are asked to contact email@example.com before this Friday 8th October.
