MSF Technologies is pleased to be participating in the Cambridge Norwich Tech Corridor. The Corridor has been formed by a consortium of local economic partners to support £500m in economic growth in the area.

Formed in Cambridge and based in Hethel Engineering Centre, MSF Technologies is an innovative, advanced engineering company delivering highly efficient technological products that address long-term challenges of efficient power generation and storage. The applications befit a multitude of sectors from motors to marine, aerospace and more.

MSF Technologies has been making connections between the corridor and global markets. They are developing client links that started in the off-highway sector. They presently bring in business from construction and leisure industries from both sides of the Atlantic into the tech corridor and actively raise the profile of the area. As part of these networks MSF Technologies have been forming partnerships with complimentary local businesses to support the development and production of their electric motors and controllers. This coming together of skills has proved to support the development and success of those in the network.

Having recently won the Barclays Entrepreneur of the East of England 2016 and joining stakeholders at The Palace of Westminster, David Morgan, CEO for MSF Technologies said, “ As a start-up business, I am delighted to be part of a corridor which will strengthen the local economy as well as the company. We already benefit from the skilled workforce on offer and the great collaboration at the technology centre in Hethel. We look forward increased benefits in the corridor and continuing playing our role as part of the advanced engineering clean tech sector.”

The growth of MSF Technologies looks to make a significant dent in the 9,000 jobs that the corridor aims to bring in. This will provide local engineering careers as well as create an attractive proposition for skilled individuals looking to work in the electric efficiency and technology sector.

The Corridor aims to:

  • encourage collaboration between existing communities of expertise within the corridor: digital, agri-tech/food, bio-tech and advanced engineering
  • create greater awareness of the concentration of affordable growth space within close proximity of Cambridge and Norwich
  • attract government funding to further, enhance and consolidate the corridor
