The blend of teambuilding and business networking brought together likeminded companies from across the city to compete. Tesco Bar Hill came close second, followed by event organisers Method.
The adrenaline-fuelled canoe race saw teams fight for first place on the water, collecting balloons, inflatables, and rubber ducks. The water-based course was followed by an orienteering challenge, organised by West Anglia Orienteering Club. The whole day was topped off with a challenging inflatable assault course.
Kirsten Corrigan, Method’s brand and strategy director, said: “Wacky Races is something we created to bring businesses together to share in some competitive fun, while raising awareness and funds for Arthur Rank Hospice Charity. Four years later, it's still a big hit and the whole team gets a real buzz from doing something different to engage with the local community. Thanks to everyone who continues to support us!"
HSBC team captain Lyndsey Peall, commented: “Wacky Races is always an exciting and memorable event. It was the perfect way to spend an afternoon fundraising, and it was fantastic to see so many businesses taking part and having fun to raise money for such a worthy cause.”
